We currently have an open position for an International Lawyer.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal due diligence and prepare legal opinions regarding the company' s IT contracts (supply contracts, service agreements, including software development, modification, customization, and adaptation services, license and sublicense agreements, SaaS, partner agreements, confidentiality agreements, international, bilingual contracts, and agreements, including intellectual property and copyright matters)
• Provide legal support for the creation and launch of software products and digital services
• Handle intellectual property matters (trademark registration, preparation of license agreements, agreements for the transfer of exclusive rights to software, copyright acquisition, author agreements, etc.)
• Provide legal expertise in building optimal international structures for Russian and foreign businesses to conduct operating and holding activities both in Russia and abroad
• Offer legal expertise and select the best jurisdictions for the registration of foreign companies, assist with registration, acquisition, and support of companies (e.g., Cyprus, Hong Kong, UAE, etc.)
• Provide services for opening and maintaining company accounts in foreign banks
• Participate in the development and maintenance of business processes to ensure timely preparation of legal documentation
• Prepare legal opinions on various branches of law in both the Russian Federation and other jurisdictions
• Advise company employees on legal matters and participate in negotiations with counterparties
• Monitor changes in legislation, judicial practices, and legal scholarship.

Requirements:

• Higher legal education (e.g., Moscow State University, Moscow State Law University, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, strong regional universities)
• Additional education in English law is an advantage
• At least 6 years of experience as a lawyer (consulting or in-house)
• Experience in international companies is an advantage (especially in IT companies)
• Fluent in English (sufficient for reviewing, drafting, and participating in negotiations)
• Strong contract drafting skills in both Russian and English
• Experience working abroad is welcomed
• Extensive experience in international contract management (in-depth knowledge of licensing and copyright law), and experience in international projects (e.g., co-development, publishing, license agreements) is a significant advantage
• Understanding of copyright rules and risks, ability to independently assess risks of copyright infringement, and provide appropriate conclusions
• Familiarity with intellectual property rights protection
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with the team and external partners
• A commercial approach to contracts: understanding business needs and reflecting them in contracts and negotiations
• Fluency in English (Upper Intermediate or Advanced)
• Energy, initiative, independence, teamwork skills, responsibility, attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and project management skills.​​​​​​​
