Purpose of the assignment
To ensure effective programme implementation of the UNICEF Country Programme Document, increase UNICEF visibility and build effective partnerships with private sector the Partnerships and Resource Mobilization (hereinafter – Consultant) will be hired.

Under the guidance and supervision of the Partnerships Officer and in close cooperation with the Communications Specialist, the Consultant will assist UNICEF Kazakhstan Country Office in (1) designing and implementing campaigns /events to increase UNICEF’s visibility and mobilize new partners (2) communicating with business and individuals to facilitate preparation of high-level events (3) creating innovative communication/fundraising solutions in support of UNICEF in Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Strategy.

Scope of Work:
• The consultant will be responsible for the below workstreams:
• Together with other UNICEF colleagues lead organization of high-level events jointly with partners/business to promote awareness about child rights, increase visibility of UNICEF, and build partnerships.
• Support with organization of high-level events jointly with partners/business to promote awareness about child rights, increase visibility of UNICEF - at least 5 events with different companies is organized and delivered in Astana
• Preparation and support of the meetings of the Business Advisory Council based in Astana – at least 3 meetings are organized, and actions are followed up.
• Support with fundraising activities with private sector donors (such as cause-related marketing) – at least 2 private sector donors are nurtured and partnership is built by the end of contract.
• Identify and pursue other opportunities for engagement, fundraising, policy influence and collaboration with the private sector, including on how to anticipate and respond to partners’ concerns and priorities - at least 5 strategic partnerships with private sector companies by the end of contract.
• Establish contacts with potential partners (companies, chambers of commerce, business associations) and prepare presentations on UNICEF’s “pitch” in collaboration with the different CO sections on UNICEF’S value added and potential partnership - develop at least 10 proposals/pitches to potential private sector partnership.
• Establish partnerships-based on family-friendly policies - secure at least 3 new partnerships with the corporate sector on family-friendly policies.
• Other assignments within partnerships and resource mobilization activities based on the needs of the office and changing funding environment.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
• Education: Bachelor in Marketing, Public Relations, International Relations, Management, or a similar field.
• Experience:
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in event management, public relations, marketing, project management, partnership development
- Experience of organising charity events will be a strong asset
- Fluency in written and spoken Russian, working knowledge of English is required
- Highly developed communication and partnership skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond to feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to contribute to a team.
- Experience of working with sponsors and influencers
- Experience with a communications campaign across multiple mediums
- Prior working experience with UN agency is an asset.
