Summary:
The Contract Manager within the Support & Service (S& S) department plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of service contracts and related projects within the aerospace industry. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. The Contract Manager will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle for S& S agreements and contracts while also contributing to project planning, execution, and monitoring of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management (Support & Service):
- Contract Lifecycle Performance : Be responsible for the contract performance in terms of costs, quality and on time deliveries
- Contract Control: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service levels and customer satisfaction, identify deviations from the plan, and recommend corrective actions.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire contract lifecycle for support and service contracts, including:
- Pre-award activities: Reviewing customer requirements, preparing service proposals (commercial aspects) and drafting contracts or service agreements (e.g., maintenance contracts/agreements, training contracts/agreements, spare parts supply contracts/agreements).
- Contract execution: Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions, managing service delivery, handling change orders related to service scope, and resolving service-related disputes.
- Post-award activities: Monitoring service performance against contracts or service agreements, managing deliverables (e.g., maintenance reports, training documentation), and ensuring timely closeout of service contracts.
- Contract Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records specifically for S& S agreements, including service reports, performance metrics, and customer communications.
- Compliance/Export Contorl: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to service delivery and contracting, including export control regulations where applicable.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks related to service provision, including performance guarantees, liability clauses, and intellectual property protection.
- Claims Management: Manage and resolve contract claims and disputes related to service delivery, working closely with legal counsel as needed.
- Subcontract Management: Manage relationships with subcontractors providing services under S& S agreements, ensuring compliance with flow-down requirements and service level expectations
- Project Planning and Support: Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets for service delivery projects, including maintenance events, upgrades, and training programs.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular project status reports for stakeholders, including contract performance metrics, contract or service level adherence, and customer feedback.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and improvement of contract management.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on contract and project data related to service performance, costs, and customer satisfaction to support decision-making within the S& S department.
- Stakeholder Management: Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders involved in service delivery, including internal S& S teams, customers, suppliers, and field service representatives.
- Configuration Management: Support configuration management activities related to service deliverables, including maintenance records, technical documentation, and spare parts inventory.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor' s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Perfect fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory
- Proven experience (3+ years) in contract management, preferably in the aerospace or a related industry, with a focus on service agreements and/or contracts.
- Experience with project management methodologies is highly desirable.
- Understanding of contract law and commercial terms, especially as they relate to service delivery.
- Excellent negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace
- Familiarity with S& S contracts or service agreements and key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to service delivery.
