The Role
- Development and Implementation of Strategy: Formulate and execute shopper and trade marketing strategies in close collaboration with brand marketing teams, the commercial department, and operational trade marketing teams (part of the commercial department).
- Planning and Budgeting: Prepare trade marketing plans and budgets by brand, sales channel, and key accounts ensure adherence to plans and budgets.
- Channel and Key Account Strategy: Lead the development of channel strategies and strategies for the top 10 key accounts in collaboration with the commercial department, overseeing their implementation.
- Pricing and Promotions Strategy:
1) Lead the development of pricing and promotional strategies across brands and channels, including recommendations for base, promotional, and EDLP prices.
2) Provide guidelines on promotional shares and create promotional calendars by brand and channel in collaboration with brand marketing, finance, and commercial departments.
3) Participate in analyzing the effectiveness of promotions and offer recommendations for adjustments (process led by the operational trade marketing team).
- Sales Stories and Negotiation Support:
1) Prepare selling stories for annual negotiations and new brand/product launches.
2) Conduct sales story training for colleagues in the commercial department.
3) Participate in negotiations with key accounts, liaising with their marketing departments to build long-term partnerships and monitor negotiation progress. - In-Store Execution:
1) Lead the creation of guidelines for in-store execution, including priorities for listings, planograms, facings, and POSM placement in collaboration with the commercial department and operational trade marketing team.
2) Conduct relevant tests and systematize best practices. - Motivational Programs: Develop motivational program concepts for the commercial team in collaboration with the operational trade marketing team (execution and monitoring led by the operational trade marketing team).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establish effective interaction processes between Strategic Shopper & Trade Marketing (reporting to the Marketing and Innovation Director) and Operational Trade Marketing (reporting to the Commercial Director).
- Team Management: Manage the Strategic Shopper & Trade Marketing team, which includes two direct reports.
The Candidate:
- 3+ year in a similar role, ideally in a foreign FMCG environment
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication abilities and the capability to foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A team player with proven leadership and management skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively, demonstrate initiative, and work independently.
- Highly organize, responsible, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- At least intermediate English
