Chief Accountant for a Leading International FMCG Company

A major international FMCG company is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

​​​​​​​1. Participation in the opening of a branch.

2. Consulting the LT on local legislation.
3. Organizing the process of tax documentation submission and controlling tax payments.
4. Participating in the development of the organization' s accounting policy.
5. Monitoring changes in tax legislation and improving the organization' s tax planning activities.
6. Maintaining primary accounting records and preparing reports for the year and quarters.
7. Analyzing the organization' s economic indicators and preparing financial plans and forecasts.
8. Organizing the storage process of accounting documents.
9. Ensuring timely payments to employees and the settlement of payables and receivables.
10. Monitoring the correctness of foreign currency transactions.
11. Monitoring the accuracy of financial documentation.
12. Organizing timely control activities in the financial sector.

Requirements:

1. Higher Education: Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
2.​​​​​​​ Knowledge and Skills:
- Tax accounting in Uzbekistan, tax calculations, and tax reporting.
- Experience with export-import operations and VAT (2+ years).
- SAP: Prior experience or a willingness to learn and test during the company' s launch.
- Knowledge of IFRS standards (2+ years).
- Ability to align local charts of accounts and accounting practices with international standards (2+ years).
- Proficiency in 1C for payroll calculation and management.
- Experience with payments and banking operations (including foreign currency transactions).
3. Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Teamwork abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Flexibility, openness to learning, and enthusiasm for innovation.
4. Languages: Proficiency in Russian, Uzbek, and English.
5. Industry Experience: Prior experience in the FMCG sector is an advantage.
