About Pharmaceutical Technical University
Pharmaceutical Technical University (PTU) is established according to a Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2022 and is located in the Innovative Research-Industrial Cluster - Tashkent Pharma Park.
The University has established partnerships with the University of Sunderland and De Montfort University (UK) and plans to launch its academic programmes in Pharmacy and Life Sciences in January 2023.
The official language of the University is English – all academic programmes are validated by British partners and taught in English, and internal and external business correspondence with international partners is held in English too.
Main duties & Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact by providing the highest quality resolution services to students, prospective students, staff and visitors
- Liaising with the broader university body, mainly other Student Support Services, Faculty Support, and Registrars in managing the response to student queries
- Assist prospective international students and facilitate their recruitment to and engagement with the University, through the provision of accurate, timely and necessary information in response to their individual enquiries on a day-to-day basis
- Work with Student Support Services and colleagues from other Departments to deliver a registration, orientation and enrolment service to support students
- Contribute to continuous improvement principles supporting the identification, development and maintenance of processes and procedures designed to maximise customer satisfaction
- Process information and student record-related transactions appropriate to this position, providing factual advice, ensuring the confidentiality, security and integrity of information are maintained in line with University requirements
- Contribute to and monitor service objectives and standards within own area of work to maximise service quality and efficiency
- Assist with training of new staff to undertake the above duties to provide consistent, quality client service during periods of high demand
- Helping in managing the internal student-facing information support services
- Undertaking appropriate duties as required and in consultation with the Student Support Services
Qualification
- A higher degree, preferably from an International University
- English to the high standard
Experience
- At least three years experience of in administrative support, preferably in an educational institution
- Evidence of working with teams
Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to fill various roles and work effectively in a group
- Understanding of educational environment
- A strong sense of corporate commitment to the mission and objectives of the University.
- Information literacy skill
- Flexibility, initiative, creativity, energy, patience and tact
