Finance Director – LITTA (Venture backed - The UK’s On Demand Leading Waste Removal Business) Role Overview LITTA is the UK’s leading on demand waste removal business, combining smart technology with a national network of vetted carrier partners to deliver fast, reliable, and sustainable rubbish collection. Backed by venture capital and entering a phase of rapid growth, we are now hiring a commercially-driven Finance Director to lead the financial function and help scale the business across the UK. This is a senior leadership role working directly with the CEO. You will own the financial strategy, steer commercial decision-making, and present regularly at board meetings. You’ll work closely with the Chief Growth Officer and Product Managers to ensure financial performance, growth, and scalability are fully aligned across the business. This is a hands-on, high-impact position suited to someone who wants to shape the future of a VC-backed, tech-enabled business. Strategic & Board-Level Finance You will work closely with the CEO on all strategic planning, business modelling, and investment decisions. You’ll be responsible for executing the company’s financial strategy, including forecasting and scenario planning. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will lead financial reporting and planning for board meetings, investor updates, and funding rounds, and play an active role in capital strategy and investor relations, including due diligence preparation. Driving Commercial Performance On the commercial side, you’ll partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to assess customer acquisition costs (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and ROAS, helping to align marketing spend with financial goals. At the same time, you’ll support the Product team in the development of dynamic pricing models, partner payment systems, and scalable billing infrastructure. You’ll lead on optimising unit economics, evaluating partner margins, and identifying cost-saving opportunities across operations. Your financial insight will help shape commercial models that enable both supply-side and customer-side growth. Financial Operations & Controls You will manage all financial planning, budgeting, and cashflow forecasting, ensuring the business is positioned for sustainable scale. You’ll deliver timely, accurate monthly management accounts, dashboards, and reporting. A key part of the role will be building robust internal controls, streamlining reporting processes, and ensuring real-time visibility of financial performance. You’ll also develop frameworks for tracking job-level profitability, margin by partner or region, and cost breakdowns. Governance, Compliance & Risk You’ll oversee all governance and compliance requirements, ensuring LITTA meets its statutory obligations across VAT, tax, and annual accounts. You’ll take ownership of legal and commercial financial matters such as supplier contracts, risk controls, and insurance. You’ll manage audit processes and work with external advisors to ensure the company’s financials are investment-grade and due diligence ready. Supporting the Wider Business Beyond finance, you will support the CEO and wider leadership team in managing core business operations. This includes working alongside HR to help shape headcount planning, compensation models, and hiring budget frameworks. You’ll oversee legal and commercial matters, ensuring contractual consistency and risk management across departments. You’ll also collaborate with the operations team to build scalable, cost-effective processes that balance strong customer delivery with financial efficiency. Building the Finance Function As the business scales, you’ll build and lead a lean, high-performing finance team. You’ll be responsible for selecting and managing financial tools, including Xero, spreadsheets, and performance dashboards. You’ll champion financially sustainable decision-making across teams, embedding finance into the fabric of daily operations and growth planning. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone with at least four years’ experience in senior finance roles, ideally within a high-growth, venture-backed, tech-enabled business model such as an aggregator or asset-light operation. You should be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong background in budgeting, commercial modelling, and investor reporting. Experience working directly with founders, boards, and investors is important, and you’ll need to be comfortable advising on high-level commercial decisions while also rolling up your sleeves and managing the detail. You’ll bring strong commercial instincts, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach. You should be calm under pressure, hands-on in your working style, and confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
