This full-time role will begin after Easter to cover a long-term absence. The school has a strong reputation for academic excellence and a commitment to developing students' physical and mental well-being through high-quality sports education.The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop their skills, confidence, and enthusiasm for physical activity.Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that cater to a range of abilities.Teach a variety of sports, promoting teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.Encourage participation and enjoyment of physical activity among all students.Develop and implement lesson plans in line with the national curriculum.Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.Organise and oversee extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and school competitions.Ensure the safety of students during lessons, following all health and safety guidelines.Promote an inclusive learning environment where all students feel encouraged and supported.Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and share best practices. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.Experience teaching PE at Key Stages 3 and 4.Strong subject knowledge and a passion for sports education.Ability to deliver engaging lessons that motivate students to participate and excel.Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.Experience in coaching and leading extracurricular sports activities is desirable.Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.Enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated to making a positive impact on students’ development.
