ADHD Nurse Preston, Lancashire 18.5 Hours per week, Band 7 Immediate start - End date TBCSpencer Clarke Group are looking for an ADHD Nurse to join one of our private clients, working 18.5 hours per week. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for taking a leadership role in the delivery of high-quality service provisions that promotes an improves the mental health and well-being of young people, their families and carers. You'll hold key relationships with the following: CAHMS team, Adult mental health teams, Child's health, Service users, educational service and many more. What you'll do: To take an active role in the holistic assessment and treatment of young people who present to the service, with mental health problems and especially those that are at risk of or have attempted deliberate self-harm. Provide liaison with other professionals and agencies in order to provide effective communication leading to a comprehensive and integrated package of care around the young person, their families and/or carers To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping including electronic data entry and recording, report writing and the responsible exercise of professional self-governance in accordance with professional codes of practice/ conduct. To attend meetings within the teams and other agencies as required or directed by the ADHD Lead. To work in partnership with the ADHD Lead in ensuring that key partners are kept informed and involved about developments in the service. To actively support new ways of working within the CAMHS / ADHD pathway. What we're looking for: First level nursing qualification, RMN or equivalent Independent & Supplementary Nurse Prescribing V300 Additional qualifications relevant to this post ENB 603 or equivalent Specific evidence based therapeutic training (not essential, it is desirable). Demonstrable knowledge and skills in evidence-based needs led assessments, of highly complex and co-morbid presentations of children, young people, their families and carers. Demonstrable knowledge/understanding and experience in assessment of young people with complex mental health and/or complex needs such as ADHD/ASD. As the post involves substantial access to children, the Trust is entitled, under arrangements introduced for the protection of children, to check with the police for the existence and content of any criminal convictions or cautions of successful applicants.
