Residential Living Recruitment is recruiting a General Manager to lead operations at a fantastic Student Accommodation (PBSA) development in North West London. Take on this opportunity to join an excellent organisation which provides the highest standard of student accommodation.The successful applicant will lead a large on-site team and be responsible for one the flagship PBSA developments in London.Role : General ManagerHours : 40 hours Monday to FridayLocation : North West LondonSalary : Up to £50,000 + bonusRole Duties: Oversee and support day to day operationsAccountability for the financial performance of the property including ownership of the P&L.To build relationships and work closely with senior members and clients across the businessDemonstrate leadership and management skills in order to build and maintain a high achieving teamTo be part of an on-call rota as required by the businessTaking full ownership of the Resident experience and wellbeingMake sure supplies, stores, materials, consumables, spares and contracted services are procured economically and competitivelyAssisting with purchasing and stock control for soft FM servicesWorking closely with the maintenance team and Compliance Manager to implement and maintain all health and safety policies, and risk assessmentsBuild & maintain relationship with our university nomination partners.Ensure effective, personalised tours are conducted to show off our brand, the property and advising rates, add-on services and booking informationOverseeing front of house payments, updating documents and weekly procedures and reporting any issues to your managerAssisting the Finance Team with the collection of rent instalments and following up residents with late paymentsPromote, live, and breathe our policies and proceduresManaging staffing levels to ensure 24-hour building coverageManage the recruitment of team members in line with the HR standard operating procedures and recruitment and selection policiesStrive to maintain an engaged and motivated team environment within your site, promoting performance excellenceDeal with any issues regarding staff performance in a timely manner in line with HR operating procedures and seeking guidance when requiredManage conflict resolution regarding students at your siteLiaise and maintain relationships with the local communities and various authoritiesReporting all incidents in line with the business contingency planPromote the company experience to prospective and existing residentsHandle complaints professionally and compassionately, and ensure they are logged accurately for follow-up and resolution, reporting as necessary to other departments or senior managersTreat company documents as private and confidential, ensuring communications are not shared or forwarded, and comply with EU Data Protection regulationsExecuting a successful site turnover Person Specification: A flexible, hands-on individual who is happy to get involved in all areas of the business as required, particularly during busy periods is essentialFriendly, personable, and approachable, catering to the needs of a diverse international customer basePassionate about PBSA and offering an excellent student experienceDemonstrate a prudent, financial acumen.To possess and demonstrate leadership skillsApproved qualification an advantageDetail-oriented, efficient and organisedExcellent problem solving and time management skillsSome travel may be required which may include driving or an occasional overnight stay as part of your role Please apply to this role to find out more and register your interest!
