Graduate Teaching Assistant Opportunity – Fulwood A reputable Primary School in the Fulwood area of Preston are keen to secure a dynamic and passionate Teaching Assistant to support children across Y5 and Y6 delivering Maths and English interventions. This role is to begin from 22nd April and the working hours will be 8:45-15:30 Monday-Friday term time only with 30 minutes for lunch. Rates of pay are competitive for work of this nature starting from £12.90 per hour! This role is a long-term position and will continue for the entirety of the 2024/2025 academic year.The Headteacher is keen to secure a candidate trained at graduate level and is keen to hear from enthusiastic practitioners with the below degrees:- BA Hons English- BA Hons Maths- BA Hons Social Sciences- BA Hons Science (Physics, Biology or Chemistry)- BA Hons Children Schools and Families- BA Hons Early Childhood Studies- BA Hons Health and Social CareThe Headteacher encourages Continuous Professional Development within the school and believes in life-long learning. As a result, she regularly leads ‘in house’ CPD and the successful candidate will also have access to regular Teaching Personnel courses such as: TEAM TEACH, Effective Behaviour Management, Understanding Autism, and Learning Support. The Headteacher also has links with the local University and encourages strong support staff to complete teacher training.
