This contract is available to start on ASAP and we can offer up to 3 years to a successful candidate.Job Title: Shallow Drainage PipelayerLocation: NP15 1NBSalary: £ 26.89Hours: 7am - 7pm Contract: Temp-PermExperience: 2 years + Please apply via the link included or directly at or 07483 068 984Key Responsibilities:Trench Excavation: Digging trenches to required depths using hand tools or trenching equipment.Pipe Installation: Aligning and positioning pipes within trenches, ensuring proper slope and conformance to requirements using levels or lasersJoint Sealing: Connecting pipe pieces and sealing joints using welding equipment, cement, or glueBackfilling: Covering pipes with earth or other materials and ensuring proper compactionMaintenance: Installing and repairing sanitary and stormwater sewer structures and pipe systemsEquipment Handling: Using instruments such as lasers, grade rods, and transit levelsSkills and Qualifications:Experience: Previous experience in pipe laying and civil constructionCertifications: Valid CSCS card and driving licenseTechnical Skills: Ability to use trenching tools, welding equipment, and leveling instrumentsPhysical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditionsCommunication: Effective communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and team membersBased in NP15 1NB remuneration for this role is £26.89 per hour, you will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.VGC is a leading provider of support services to the UK infrastructure industry.
