Have you considered a role as an SEN Teaching Assistant?Teaching Personnel has Primary school SEN TA opportunity throughout Greater Manchester where you will provide essential support to students helping them access the curriculum and develop vital social and communication skills. You will work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure each child’s individual needs are met.Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities for studentsProvide one-on-one or small group support to help students engage with the curriculum.Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support students' learning goals.Use strategies such as visual aids, sensory tools, and alternative communication methodsMonitor student progress and provide feedback to the class teacherDevelop a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.Support students with social skills, emotional regulation, and daily classroom routines.Assist with students behaviour management using positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques.Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals involved in the child’s care.
Experience:
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (preferred).A relevant qualification in SEN or teaching assistance is an advantage.Strong understanding of effective strategies for supporting children with additional needs.Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.A proactive approach with a genuine passion for helping children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
