Enterprise Applications EngineerLocation: EalingSalary: £47,532 - £ 49,551 per annum (inclusive) Grade 11The RoleThe ICT and Data Management Department within the Council is currently looking to recruit an Enterprise Applications EngineerYou will be responsible for promoting the requirements and for all aspects of Information Governance and handling, including Information Security, Data Protection, Information Management and access to information (e.g. the Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations).Your main job function will be to assist with continuous process improvement and the creative pursuit of new ideas for all Enterprise and Business Applications, included in this will be to ensure that applications meet business requirements, evaluate and deploy new applications, enhance existing applications, design, develop and document application enhancements and upgrades and to develop new builds applications for a variety of hardware.You will work within a team working on the Council’s enterprise application systems and will liaise with the Enterprise Applications Manager to set schedules and priorities for projects and workloadThe successful candidate will be responsible for their own workload and tasks providing feedback to the team and to the Microsoft 365 Technical Lead and will assisting the other team members as requiredSkills and QualificationsYou will need to: Be able to Communicate complex technical issues to any non-IT audienceBe able to Report and present information effectively to the teamProvide a high standard of personal integrity, discretion and tact, maintaining confidentiality where requiredBe able to handle pressure and still deliver business objectivesBe a team player with the ability to work aloneBe self-driven and produce resultsBe able to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines, including prioritising workloadsHave a meticulous eye for detail and accuracyMentor and coach junior staff to ensure that knowledge is retained within the team. From a technical perspective, they will need you to be able to have experience in the following: Knowledge and experience of implementing Microsoft Server technologies, including 2016, 2019 and 2022In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory along with Azure Active DirectoryA good grounding and practical experience of creating and supporting Windows PowerShell scriptsGood knowledge of the Microsoft suite, including the cloud offering of Office O365Good understanding of SaaS and PaaS within the Microsoft stack, including SharePoint, Identity and Access Management, Exchange online and Teams administrationIn-depth knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint manager, including supporting and pushing out of applications, conditional access policies, configuration profiles and changes within this platformIn-depth knowledge of the Microsoft desktop operating systems, including Windows 10 and 11Experience in dealing with vendors to ensure that operational issues resolved in a timely mannerExperience in creating and supporting group polices, including troubleshootingExperience of imaging technologies, in particular Microsoft-centric based technologiesExperience of supporting mobile devices, including MDM softwareUp to date knowledge of new and emerging technologies within the Microsoft stackSetting up and using Microsoft Surface Hubs (desirable)Experience of the Netcall telephony platform (desirable)Experience of the Microsoft Unified support platform (desirable)Experience of using and supporting Microsoft Copilot (desirable).
