Job Opportunity: Telehandler days Heathrow We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an Airside Construction Logistics Operator, for a Telehandler to work at Heathrow Airport. Job Type: Full Time Pay: £16.50 per hour Schedule: Days: Any 5 of 7 Requirements: Valid CPCS Card (ESSENTIAL) Previous construction/labouring experience Experience with telehandlers or other material handling equipment Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Key Responsibilities: As a Telehandler, your key duties will include: Operating a Telehandler: Using a telescopic handler to move materials such as pallets, bags, and construction materials around the site. You will be responsible for lifting and transporting heavy items to various locations safely. Collaborating with the team to successfully deliver logistics packages for key clients and the airport. Handling pallets in a busy warehouse: Pushing and pulling pallets when necessary. Loading and offloading lorries: Assisting in loading and unloading materials from vehicles using the telehandler. Conducting security screenings on pallets: You'll undergo training to conduct security checks on items, ensuring compliance with airport safety regulations. Driving airside: After completing required training, you will operate the telehandler in airside areas, ensuring materials are moved safely to and from the site. Ensuring safe and efficient service delivery: Provide support to onsite trades by ensuring materials are moved safely and promptly. Overseeing the safe and timely movement of materials to and from the site to avoid delays and disruption. Setting up and maintaining a clean, secure, and compliant site: Following all safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Implementing an effective waste management strategy: You'll be responsible for ensuring that waste is disposed of properly, helping to maintain the site's safety and cleanliness. Security Checks: As this role is connected to a UK airport, you will be required to provide a 5-year checkable history. Telehandler Specific Skills: As a Telehandler, you will be expected to demonstrate the following skills and abilities: Telehandler Operation: Proficient in safely operating a telehandler to lift and move heavy materials. Forklift Driving Skills: Comfortable handling various loads in tight or confined spaces, both indoors and outdoors. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to all relevant safety standards and procedures, particularly airside safety protocols at the airport. Physical Stamina and Strength: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy items and operating machinery for extended periods. Problem-Solving: Ability to assess situations on-site and make quick, effective decisions to overcome challenges while ensuring safety.
