About the role: Waltham Forest has set an ambitious vision for a changed borough by 2030 with the development of our new Corporate Plan, Mission Waltham Forest. Local government is also facing unprecedented financial challenges, and Mission Waltham Forest sets out how we will respond to complex societal challenges whilst keeping a firm financial footing. To deliver on this agenda, we have mobilised a multi-year programme of transformation work and savings activities, including a significant number of restructures across a number of directorates. We are now seeking to recruit two Senior Project Managers to plan, develop and drive forward the restructures, working together with key stakeholders in Strategy & Change, HR and relevant Service Areas to ensure the timely delivery of these vital initiatives. You will be project managing a range of restructures at any given time, as well as getting directly involved in the work itself - drafting consultation documents, updating role profiles and structure charts, coordinating meetings with staff. >> Click here to download the Role Profile << Key Responsibilities: Lead on the delivery and management of the organisational restructures workstream, ensuring it is delivered to quality, time and cost. Provide specialist business change advice and coaching to colleagues to support the delivery of their restructure projects Work as part of a matrix managed team with HR, Finance and service colleagues, to ensure restructures are delivered and managed in accordance with Council policy Support service leads and SROs in managing expectations for deliverables, creating stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance Secure compliance and engagement with the project amongst the necessary stakeholders. Manage, lead, and support the project team to ensure that they meet their objectives and address any issues as appropriate. Create and update project plans and deliverables, reporting on project activity on a regular basis Qualifications and Requirements: Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time. Experience of managing large-scale projects in complex and challenging environments. Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to interact effectively with people at all levels in an organization including senior level executives. Possess strengths in organisational, attention-to-detail, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Experience of delivering projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently.
