SEN TEACHING ASSISTANTFull Time8:30AM- 3:30PM Your role will include : Differentiated material in classBeing part of a nurture groupOne-to-one support in classSmall group work in or out of classExtra literacy/numeracy lessonsPastoral SupportSupport from outside agenciesAccess arrangements for formal examinations Your role will be to support SEN students KS3-5 with a range of disabilities, both within a mainstream setting and within the classroom & onsite centres such as : Autistic Spectrum DisorderAsperger’s SyndromeAttention Deficit DisorderAttention Deficit Hyperactive DisorderEmotional and Social DifficultiesDyslexiaDyspraxiaDyscalculiaVisual ImpairmentHearing ImpairmentModerate Learning DifficultiesSpeech and Language Difficulties The successful candidate will: be flexible and able to adapt to work with students with a range of special educational needs throughout the schoolbe understanding of the range of special educational needs that young people facehave strong experience of working with young people with additional needs and a willingness to undertake specific training will be required including manual handling Rate dependant on qualifications and experience All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
