Our vision is to be a leading global lottery-led entertainment platform by making gaming better for all, starting from the foundations and enabling our team to blaze new trails and serve as the ground for empowering our clients to achieve sustainable, long-term growth.What makes this role exciting and challenging:The Commercial Finance Analyst will support the Senior Commercial Finance Manager and Head of FP&A and Commercial Finance in ensuring the business is financially sound, has robust accounting and reporting processes and delivers on its financial targets. Key responsibilities of the Commercial Finance team include all aspects of the planning cycle such as preparing Budgets, Forecasts and 5YP, Management Account preparation and analysis to ensure cost control and tracking to budget targets along with Business Partnering across the company to provide insights, adherence to governance and commercial agreements review.As part of your everyday responsibilities, you will: Supporting the Senior Commercial Finance Manager in month end duties such as the preparation of the Management Accounts and analysis. Financial reporting and detailed variance analysis with commentary, with monthly reviews with key budget holders primarily focused on the central cost base and project analysis (resourcing) Business partnering across Department Heads and PMO. Preparation of budget and regular forecasts, ensuring alignment to strategy and targets. Covering customer contracts, operating costs and capex projects. Excel/Google Sheet modelling on ad hoc projects and requests to support the growth of the business. P2P approvals to ensure purchase orders and invoices adhere to correct accounting policies, coding and budgets. Payment approvals. Resource planning forecasting, analysis and project reporting. Systems testing for general ledger upgrades. Proactive approach to continuous improvement in all aspects of reporting and processes. RequirementsKey qualifications for your success: Proven ability to analyse and interpret large amounts of financial data and explain variances. Strong commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to convey complex data simply into a story. CIMA Qualified Accountant (desirable) or ACCA/equivalent Ability to use Microsoft Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel essential. Experience with Apple Mac OS and Google Workspace is preferable but not essential. Knowledge of accounting systems (e.g. NetSuite/Workday Adaptive - preferable but not essential) Demonstrable knowledge of budgeting and forecasting. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise key deadlines. Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Resilience to change.
