Teaching Assistant Salary: Up to £29,521 + Excellent Benefits Please note, this salary is not pro rata'd and school holidays will be paid in full. The school are looking for a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant to join there team.Responsibilities Undertaking activities with individuals, groups or a class of children in order to facilitate their physical, emotional and educational development within a safe environment, usually under the supervision of a teacherWorking to establish a supportive relationship with the children and parents concerned in order to facilitate effective communication and partnership between school and home where appropriateCarrying out pre-determined educational activities and work programmes ensuring that specific guidelines are followed whilst promoting independent learning to support the children’s understandingEncouraging acceptance and inclusion of the child with special needs to support achievement and developmentPromoting and reinforcing the child’s self-esteem and encourage the child to maximise their achievement and development Qualifications Relevant NVQ3 or equivalentAt least three years’ experience as a Teaching and Learning Assistant and/or as a classroom assistantUp to date knowledge and understanding of the practices and procedures within education relating to the welfare, safety and education of childrenAble to identify and work towards specific goals with children and colleaguesAble to maintain good relationships with children and adultsAble to prioritise tasks and act on own initiativeAble to work as part of a team and be flexibleAble to motivate and encourage children to develop to their full potential If this opportunity is for you please send your CV to Abigail SimpsonAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
