We are looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer for our Infrastructure team to be based in Taunton , joining our 2025 Graduate Programme. As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your civil engineering expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment. You will be part of an experienced civils team in Taunton, with wider team support across the South-West, where you will work across a number of transformational, high-profile development infrastructure projects. You will work within an engineering team liaising with clients, fellow professionals and other disciplines within the office and across our business and will gain experience supporting all phases of the project life cycle, from feasibility through to construction. You will benefit from the structured graduate training scheme and be assigned a Delegated Engineer and Supervising Civil Engineer to support you in your route to Chartership. The Taunton civils team works closely with our Building, Transport and Environment colleagues, so you will be exposed to a variety of different disciplines and projects, whilst supporting the engineers in the team. The team's primary focus includes a mix of public and private sector schemes, including some significant development, infrastructure and regeneration projects, promoting growth in both residential and commercial markets. Assisting with technical input into a variety of projects, your duties could include: Getting involved in the development of concept, preliminary and detailed scheme designs. Preparing design reports, specifications and technical notes. Completing civil engineering design work and calculations, this could include preparing 3D design models of our projects, designing and evaluating earthworks, highway and drainage networks. Researching the latest technologies and construction techniques and playing a key role in minimising the environmental impact of our projects. Assisting in the management of Health and Safety risks and taking steps to proactively manage and mitigate potential issues. Assisting our clients to complete exemplar concept and detailed and in doing considering solutions that minimise embodied carbon.
