This is a full time, ongoing temporary contract for at least 6 months offering hybrid working and a day rate of between £475 - £550 per day Umbrella LTD £375 - £430 PAYE The purpose of the role is to lead all waste related services and contracts, fleet management and transport operations, countryside management and the maintenance of the councils street scene. The ares include: Domestic and Commercial Waste OperationsStrategic Waste Waste PFI Contract LeadStreet CleansingPublic Rights of WayHighways InfrastructureTransport Services Fleet Maintenance and Management as well as Passenger TransportGrounds maintenance and countryside management.Flood risk managementResponsibilities: Supporting, developing, promoting and maintaining constructive multi-agency working to ensure the Council can deliver its priorities, overall aims and objectives ensuring the delivery of high quality services that focus on the needs of local people.Requirements: Knowledge of Waste collection, recycling and disposalUnderstanding of how to deliver operational services with the lowest environmental impact.Excellent understanding of both contract and relationship management including negotiatingProven track record of successful leadership.Significant experience of Environmental legislation and in a field related to Environment based services including specifically waste management.If interested of require any additional information, please feel free to get in touch on 01772 208967 or via email at james.glover@servicecare.org.uk
