We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Greenwich to assist with the appointment of a Temporary Accommodation Placement Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £17.27 - £21.76 per Hour Responsibilities: To provide housing service advice and information to customers by telephone, email or in person as part of a reception service. To signpost clients to other services and departments as required.To work late as and when the service demands. This is to assist late comers for temporary accommodation.To ring around daily to secure properties for the use of emergency overnight accommodation.To follow up any interest from prospective new landlords as directed by Senior Access & Support Officer, provide them with the relevant information and inform them of the nightly rate. To allocate properties in accordance with client risks and general circumstances ensuring suitability in line with housing legislation. Qualifications:Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and show an ability to build good relationships with other departments, landlords and external organisationExperience in a variety of administration duties, be computer literate and willing to learn new I.T skills. A good working knowledge MS Excel is required. Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
