Job DescriptionWe are currently hiring an Analyst for the European Credit team in London, part of our global Credit Investments department.Credit Investments currently manages assets in excess of C$50 billion with investments ranging from $50 million to over $1 billion. The Credit Investments team has over 100 investment professionals across North America, Europe and Asia.The European Credit team invests in sub-investment grade debt across the capital structure, including private credit (unitranche, Holdco financing), liquid credit (term loans, high-yield bonds) and other solutions for European corporations.As an Analyst, you will work on small deal teams to evaluate credit opportunities, develop investment recommendations, and participate in the execution and monitoring of investments. We are focused on developing Analysts into well-rounded investors and leaders with a strong understanding of the deal process from origination through to exit.Role-Specific AccountabilitiesAnalyse potential investment opportunities across private credit and liquid credit (direct lending, term loans, high yield Bonds, Holdco, mezzanine financing among others)Actively participate in the investment process from initial opportunity overview to execution and monitoringConduct research and due diligence on relevant businesses and sectorsBuild financial models with projections to assist in investment evaluation, structuring and financingReview and assist in the negotiation of legal documentsPrepare presentation materials and present investment recommendations to Investment CommitteesDevelop relationships with financial sponsors and management teams as part of monitoring portfolio companies
