We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Newry to assist with the appointment of a Swimming Teacher, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £11.44 - £14.40 per hour Hours Per Week: 21.50 Responsibilities: To develop, adapt and deliver suitable structured programmes of lessons for the public, schools and other groups as per the recognised national standards.To develop work programmes with realistic targets for groups and to prepare pupils for examination to suit their levels of ability.To comply with Safety in Swimming Pools Regulations and internal Codes of Practice including supervision, life guarding, hygiene and safety procedures.To follow agreed accident procedure, and administer first aid if required.To undertake associated clerical duties including class attendance, records of pupils progress and examination documentation.To ensure equipment is in a safe condition and any defects reported immediately. To reorder stock as required. Qualifications: STA Certificate in Swimming Teaching Level 2Swim Ireland Teaching Aquatics Level 2mqualification or equivalent qualificationPrevious experience teaching swimming in structured environment e.g. devising lesson plans, keeping records etc. Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.You should have right to work in U.K Disclaimer: Brackenberry Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
