Role Overview: We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Workers to join their team. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in assisting students with learning difficulties, promoting their academic and personal development, and ensuring they thrive in a supportive and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Student Learning: Provide individual and group support to students, helping them to engage with the curriculum and develop their learning skills.
Tailored Assistance: Work closely with teachers to implement personalised education plans and adapt learning materials to meet the specific needs of students.
Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
Promote Inclusion: Foster an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported, encouraging positive social interactions and collaborative learning.
Emotional Support: Offer emotional and behavioural support to students, helping them to manage challenges and build resilience.
Collaboration: Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to develop and deliver effective support strategies.
Engagement in Activities: Assist in organising and supervising extracurricular activities that enhance social skills and personal development.
Qualifications:
Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or special needs support (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent).
Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with learning difficulties or additional needs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
