Due to an increase in demand, Pertemps are working in partnership with the Royal Mail to source Postal Delivery Workers to support with their busy operation.Location: Plymouth - PL11 2TBRequired Dates: ASAP – 5th JanuaryHours: 14:00 – 19:00 approxShift: 5 days per week between Monday-Sunday - working at least 25 or 30 hours per weekHourly Rate: £13.37 per hour PAYESundays: £14.49 per hour PAYEOvertime: 40 hours worked £15.68 per hourAbout the Postal Delivery Worker roleYou'll start your day in the local delivery office, sorting and gathering the mail needed for your route. You will collect your allocated vehicle or trolley and your hand-held computer device (detailing your route and tracking your mail) and then deliver the letters and parcels to your local community.About YouThe ideal candidate for this role will be upbeat, self-motivated, and happy to work alone as well as part of a team.You will be helpful and approachable displaying a strong sense of community, as you get to know the people you meet on your round.Royal Mail deliver parcels whatever the weather, so you will enjoy working outdoors and due to the amount of walking required you will need to be relatively fit and healthy.You will be smartly presented, always acting in a professional and courteous manner.ExperienceSome previous experience in a customer facing or delivery role would be ideal but not essential.You will be required to complete a full DBS security check prior to commencing work.Driving licence requirementsA full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address)Maximum 6 penalty pointsUnfortunately, we are unable to accept IN/DD/DR/CD endorsementsIf you are interested in this role, please apply online or contact Emily at Pertemps Plymouth on 01752 601116.
