Environment Officer needed in Huddersfield Paying £18.53 per hr Ref 0009 728A /1Full time hours on a temporary basis Take charge of ecological advice for planning applications, Local Plans, and policies. Key responsibilities include:Advising on pre-application discussions and biodiversity enquiriesProviding expert guidance on Biodiversity Net Gain and using Biodiversity MetricsDrafting and developing legal agreements related to ecologySupporting the delivery of biodiversity net gain objectivesPreparing written statements for planning and enforcement appealsDeveloping and improving the ecology service internally and externallyParticipating in partnerships to implement Biodiversity Net Gain and Local Nature Recovery StrategiesResearching current issues and developments impacting the natural environmentDeveloping reports and recommendations to support planning policiesHandling applications and enquiries confidentially and in a timely mannerUsing IT systems to maintain accurate electronic case files If you are interested in the role, please email your CV to verity@essentialemploy.co.uk quoting the reference number.Essential Employment is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
