In this role, you will be responsible for effectively collaborating with the Risk / Origination / Finance / Transitions departments in order to secure their buy-in as well as implementing improvements to systems, processes, and technology, as appropriate. You will also apply knowledge and insights concerning the Customer Operations function and how this impacts our policyholders, delivering strong business outcomes relating to capital, profitability, the Company brand and market reputation whilst achieving positive outcomes to our policyholders, trustees, and shareholders on a consistent basis. Specific accountabilities assigned to the role of Senior Pension Operations Analyst within Customer Operations: Responsible for ensuring our Trustee clients are receiving the highest levels of customer care. Responsible for the successful delivery of funding our Trustee clients in line with the deal requirements. Checking monthly payroll funding for schemes not administered by PIC’s outsourced administrators and providing relevant feedback. Onboarding of new business into PICs operating model and creating funding reconciliations Complete data verification checks (review an analyse complex data, understand and communicate data reports, provide solutions). Working closely with the transition team to resolve issues and support the verification or move to buy-out. Support the Trustees, their administrators or in-house pensions teams throughout the data cleanse process – providing advice and support for data analysis and admin queries. Provide training to junior members of the team and be a point of contact to support their personal development. Undertake and manage ad-hoc projects as required, managing work streams and ensuring timescale are met. Attend / host meetings and conference calls where required (internal and external) Produces and delivers the production of reports to PIC Senior Management Checking buy-in & buy-out outsourced administrators’ payroll – resolving queries and providing feedback Effectively collaborates with key stakeholders in the business such as the Transitions, Origination, Investments & Finance. Takes ownership for their own learning and development in both technical (e.g. data analysis and critical judgement) and non-technical (self-insight and relationship management) skills of Customer Operations. Provides knowledge and insights concerning the Customer Operations function and how this impacts our policyholders. RequirementsExperience: Experience in completing data reconciliation Experience of delivering excellent customer service when dealing with external and internal stakeholders Experience in checking work and providing feedback Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of defined benefit pension schemes Established knowledge of Pensions Administration especially defined benefit pension schemes Established knowledge of data analysis, data reconciliation, defined benefit schemes & pension buy-in & buy-outs Familiar with dealing with large volumes of data Skills: Strong organisation and communication skills Ability to persuade and influence both directly and indirectly Ability to manage people and other resources effectively Ability to prioritise work effectively Ability to organize work to meet deadlines Ability to work within defined procedures as recommended by functional teams Commercial judgement Good working knowledge of MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Word Strong level of Microsoft Excel competency (advanced), with a keen desire to develop existing knowledge Desirable personal attributes aligned to what success looks like in the role: Intellectually curious with a willingness to learn through own research. Strong problem-solving skills utilising consultative questioning to challenge current norms and drive change within the business function. Effective communicator – structures insights into clear messages and effectively engages others within business function, as well as internal stakeholders, professional and regulatory bodies.
