With Brexit, technology and other disruptive forces driving changes in the way goods move across borders and through the supply chain, logistics has never been more important to UK PLC.Key Responsibilities Lead and shape Logistics UK’s policy strategy on decarbonisation, under the guidance of our Head of Decarbonisation Policy. Build your expertise in key policy areas, proactively identifying trends and briefing on emerging topics. Engage closely with Members, running Councils and Working Groups, to achieve unified views and represent them to policymakers and the media. Influence decision-makers by collaborating with government officials and industry stakeholders. Craft top-tier consultation responses, briefing materials, and deliver compelling presentations to varied audiences. Serve as a spokesperson on relevant topics, shaping media narratives and public perceptions. Collaborate across departments to align on wider business goals and contribute to Logistics UK events as a policy expert. Requirements A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience. Outstanding communication skills – persuasive, articulate, and confident in engaging with high-level stakeholders and the media. Deep understanding of public policy development and a knack for influencing outcomes.
